Privacy policy
Tolis Automotive Inc. (“we”, “us”) runs this website. This page explains what we collect through it, why, and how you can see, change or delete it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms:
- Quote requests: your name, phone number, email (if you give it), your vehicle, and what it needs.
- Service reminders: your name, phone number, email (if you give it), which reminders you want, and a record of when and how you agreed to get them.
We also keep the date of your request and, when you come in, the date of your last service, so reminders go out at the right time.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use advertising trackers on this site.
Why we use it
- To call or email you back with a price.
- To send the service reminders you asked for, such as oil change or tire changeover reminders.
- To keep our own customer records.
We only send reminders if you ticked the box to get them, or if you’re a recent customer and Canadian law allows it. Every reminder tells you who it’s from and how to stop them.
Stopping reminders
Use the unsubscribe link in any reminder, reply “STOP” to a text, or call us at (416) 744-2245. We stop within 10 business days, usually right away.
Where it’s stored and who helps us
Your details are stored securely with Cloudflare, which hosts this website and its database. Their servers may be outside Canada, including in the United States, so your information may be subject to the laws there. We also use:
- Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam on our forms. It checks your browser without tracking you across sites.
- Google Fonts to display the website’s text, and Google to show our current review rating.
- Text and email services to send reminders, which receive only what they need to deliver the message.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you’re a customer or still want reminders. If you ask us to delete them, we will, unless we have to keep a record by law (for example, invoices for completed work).
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email tolisauto@gmail.com or call (416) 744-2245. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
